Karan Johar has flown off to London, and the buzz is, he is unlikely to return before his birthday on May 25.
This is so unlike KJo who loves to have a big bash on his birthday with his Bollywood friends every year.
What happened this year? Why does he want to have a relatively quiet birthday? Did he want to avoid drawing up a guest list which might not translate into Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan's arrival at the party? Your guess is as good as ours.
For those who've come in late, KJo doesn't have his old, fabulous equation with Shah Rukh anymore.
And we know, Salman turned down KJo's Shuddhi (SpotboyE.com, May 8) perhaps because he stood as a mute spectator when Tanmay Bhatt passed an unfair remark about someone extremely dear to him (SpotboyE.com,February 6).
KJo turns 43 on Monday.
